Hello and welcome to my page!

I am an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Behavioral Sciences at The University of Findlay.

As a Ph.D. student at Bowling Green State University, I studied the neural correlates of age-related cognitive impairment in homing pigeons (Columba livia).

When I arrived at UF I began studying spatial cognition in whip spiders (amblypygi). Currently, my lab is beginning to study the effects of artificial selection and captivity on the antipredator behavior and personality of terrestrial isopods (e.g., Porcellio scaber). My lab is also an annual contributor to the Monarch Watch Tagging Program.

In addition to my research, I have been teaching at the college level since 2015. I have taught a variety of classes, including Brain and Behavior, Animal Behavior, Evolutionary Psychology, Neuroscience of Psychopathy and Aggression, Neuropsychopharmacology, Cognitive Psychology, Theories of Learning, Research Methods, and Statistics.
